Dortmund keen on Sahin

A report from Talk Sport is today suggesting that Borussia Dortmund will try and re-sign on-loan Liverpool midfielder Nuri Sahin when his deal at Anfield is up in the summer.

Dortmund of course had Sahin on their books before selling him to Real Madrid for £8.1 million, but now, they could be ready to bring him back to the Bundesliga.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is still unsure on whether to try and make the midfielder’s move from Real Madrid permanent after an inconsistent start to life in England.

Some of his performances have been of the highest quality, but then he has put in some poor displays in the English Premier League.

His parent club, Real Madrid, seem happy to let the player leave if they receive the right amount of cash for him – so Liverpool and Dortmund could be involved in a bidding war.

The La Liga champions have a very strong midfield and Sahin is not likely to play any first-team football in Spain, so is sure to be thinking of his next move.

He enjoyed a great spell in Germany and that might be his preferred destination.

Much is sure to now depend on his form between now and the end of the campaign.
