German daily Bild has suggested that Borussia Dortmund are pondering summer bid for Hannover striker Mame Biram Diouf.
Even if the club chiefs have denied rumours linking star striker Robert Lewandowski with a switch to Bayern Munich, it is now clear that the Poland international will be leaving at the end of the season.
This means that Borussia have got to try and find him a replacement, and Bild claims that Hannover striker Mame Biram Diouf has moved to the top of their hit-list.
The Senegalese striker has been in scintillating form ever since he joined the 96ers from Manchester United, with two goals against the Millionaires enough to impress boss Jurgen Klopp.
Borussia officials have also been impressed by the player’s versatility and they are confident he is the right man for the job.
Hannover chiefs remain adamant the player is not for sale, but it is highly unlikely they will resist the opportunity to gain a huge profit, having paid just €1.8 million for the player a year ago.
