German newspaper Sport Bild is reporting that Borussia Dortmund are weighing up a summer bid for AS Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic.
Ever since star midfielder Mario Gotze agreed a switch to Bayern Munich, the Millionaires have been searching for his replacement.
BVB have been keeping close tabs on Kevin De Bruyne, Bernard and Isco, but with none of the three players a realistic target at the moment, they have turned their attention elsewhere.
According to Sport Bild, Borussia Dortmund have decided to pursue their interest in AS Roma star Miralem Pjanic.
The Bosnia international is regarded as an important member of the squad at Stadio Olimpico, but he could become available for €14 million.
As a result, the Millionaires are set to open talks with Roma over a possible switch to Signal-Iduna Park, with the player himself likely to be attracted by the prospect of joining the Champions League finalists.
Everton keen on Ecuele Manga
Everton are keeping close tabs on Lorient defender Bruno Ecuele Manga, according to French newspaper L’Equipe.
Roberto Martinez has been following the player for over a year now and he is hoping to lure him to Goodison Park in the summer.
With Sylvain Distin in the final stage of his career, Martinez believes Ecuele Manga would be a great long-term successor to the Frenchman.
The 24-year-old joined Lorient from Angers in the summer of 2010 and has since developed into one of the best defenders in French Ligue 1.
He has made a total of 80 Ligue 1 appearances for les Merlus, scoring 3 goals in the process. Bruno Ecuele Manga is the captain of his national team and has so far earned 24 Gabon caps.
Benfica and Sporting battle for Silvio
Portuguese giants Benfica and Sporting Lisbon are locked in the battle for Atletico Madrid full-back Silvio Azevedo, reports A Bola.
The 25-year-old has seen little playing time since joining los Colchoneros from Sporting Braga and everything suggests he will be allowed to leave Vicente Calderon this summer.
A Bola reports that Benfica are keen on adding him to their ranks as they continue their search for a new left-back.
With Silvio adapt at playing on both sides of defence and unlikely to cost too much, the Eagles have made him their number one target.
The problem is that Sporting Lisbon are also interested, but the player is expected to prefer a move to Estadio da Luz, given that the Lions won’t be playing European football next term.
Silvio, who has a contract until June 2016 at Vicente Calderon, has spent last six months on loan at Deportivo, where he scored 2 goals in 17 La Liga appearances.
