Dortmund planning bids for Can and Mandzukic

Borussia Dortmund are in a bit of a problem right now, with their performances not improving for some time. They are getting further away from the top of Bundesliga and their Champions League displays are far from guaranteeing them a place in the last 16 of the competition.

Now they want to make the January transfer window their time to make a statement, as they are rumoured to be preparing bids for Juventus stars Emre Can and Mario Mandzukic. According to Corriere di Torino, Borussia Dortmund are in search of reinforcements and Can could strengthen their midfield, with Mandzukic bringing in the necessary experience in their somewhat youthful squad.

Neither of the players are part of Maurizio Sarri’s plans at Juventus and both are keen to move on in the winter window in search of first-team football. Mandzukic has been linked with Man United recently, but that hunt is now over and maybe these two actually get into conversations with Dortmund.
