Dortmund poised for shock Ji move

Sunderland striker Ji Dong-Won has emerged as a shock transfer target for Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund, according to the Mirror.

Last season’s Champions League runners-up are keen on bolstering their attacking options when the transfer window reopens next month, and have identified the Korea Republic international as a potential target.

Ji’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season, meaning that from New Year’s Day, he can sign a pre-contract agreement with a club on the continent.

Since moving to the North East of England in 2011, the 22 year old has made scored just two goals in twenty-six club appearances, though he had a fairly successful stint in Germany with Augsbury earlier this year where he hit five in seventeen games.

Bottom of the table Sunderland welcome Norwich City to the Stadium of Light on Saturday afternoon, and the hosts are priced at 1/1 to take all three points.
