German daily newspaper Bild understands that Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain are locked in the battle for Bayern Munich forward Mario Gotze.
The Germany international has failed to prove his worth at Allianz Arena and he is almost certain to be sold this summer as his contract is due to expire in a year’s time.
And while Paris Saint-Germain have been showing interest in his services, Bild claims that former club Borussia Dortmund have emerged as favourites for Gotze’s signature.
Having seen Henrikh Mkhitaryan leave for Manchester United, the Millionaires are eager to bring the 24-year-old back to Signal-Iduna Park despite the fact that his return may not go down well among the fans.
With Mario Gomez sidelined through injury, Mario Gotze should start up front when Germany face Euro 2016 hosts France in the semi-final, with Die Mannschaft priced at 19/20 to qualify for the final.
