Dortmund reluctant to sell Bellingham next summer

Borussia Dortmund will be very reluctant to part ways with Jude Bellingham next summer amid reports of strong interest from the Premier League, according to Paul Joyce and Matt Lawton of  The Times.

The 18-year-old joined the Bundesliga side from Birmingham City in 2020 and signed a five-year contract. There have been suggestions that there may be talks in progress over a new deal, but such claims are wide of the mark at this point. Dortmund are already pretty much in command of Belingham’s future for the next few seasons.

Quite apart from that, Dortmund are expected to lose the services of striker Erling Haaland, who becomes available for €75 million at the end of this season and has been targeted by a number of top clubs across Europe. With that in mind, they aren’t keen on making plans to sell Bellingham as well.

Be that as it may, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea continue to monitor the situation surrounding the young midfielder, ready to act if they feel an opportunity open up.
