Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc recently revealed that the club have a ‘gentlemen’s agreement’ with Jadon Sancho about allowing the winger to leave this summer, providing certain conditions are met. There was no mention of the size of a potential bid that would be enough to warrant a deal, but Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth says he’s been informed that £80 million should be enough.
Sancho has two years remaining on his contract with Dortmund. Manchester United tried to sign him last summer, but their efforts were made far too late, well after the deadline Dortmund had set for any offers to be considered, and the offer didn’t come anywhere near the €120m they reportedly wanted at the time. United are believed still to be interested, as are three more clubs.
As for the 21-year-old himself, he wants to play in the Champions League next season, and that appears to be his only priority in terms of potential destination at the moment.
