Dortmund to bid for Timo Werner

Borussia Dortmund are weighing up summer bid for Stuttgart starlet Timo Werner, according to Sport Bild.

The Millionaires coach Thomas Tuchel is a big fan of the talented footballer and he wants to lure him to Signal-Iduna Park in the summer.

And while Stuttgart are likely to consider any serious offer for their prized possession, Borussia face stiff competition from second division side Leipzig.

Leipzig are almost certain to secure promotion to the Bundesliga and they are reportedly prepared to offer €20 million to make Timo Werner their first signing of the summer.

This is enough to suggest they could enter a real bidding war with Borussia Dortmund for the 20-year-old footballer, who has shown a great deal of potential since coming through the youth ranks at Stuttgart.

Werner has so far made 86 Bundesliga appearances for the Swabians, scoring 13 goals in total, and he is predicted a bright future in the game.
