Despite a horrendous league campaign, Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund have remained competitive in the Champions League, and the German outfit should have no trouble seeing past Zenit St Petersburg when Jurgen Klopp’s men travel to Russia.
Coral are backing last season’s Champions League runners-up at 5/6 to beat Luciano Spalletti’s side – especially considering how fortunate the latter were to have even made it this far in the tournament.
Zenit St Petersburg finished with six points from six games in their group, but went through into the knockouts despite having won just once in the Champions League group stages – a shock 1-0 away win against FC Porto.
Dortmund are favourites for the win when the two sides meet, and it’s of little surprise regardless of their own league woes at present. Dortmund’s recent 3-0 away defeat to Hamburg meant the side are currently 20 points adrift of Bayern in first place in the Bundesliga, but their Champions League run has been something to smile about for the supporters.
Four wins from six meant they topped a group featuring both Napoli & Arsenal, and are rightly so 5/6 to beat Zenit in the first leg of the knockouts.
