Dos Santos brothers to be reunited at Villarreal

Barcelona starlet Jonathan Dos Santos could be joining Villarreal on a season-long loan, according to El Mundo Deportivo.

The Mexican has been told by new coach Luis Enrique that he does not feature in his first team plans, meaning the midfielder should be farmed out on loan this summer.

And while Barcelona were keen to include him in the deal taking Claudio Bravo to Camp Nou, the youngster rejected a switch to Real Sociedad, leaving club officials annoyed by his behaviour.

Jonathan Dos Santos namely wants to join Villarreal and get reunited with his brother Giovani, who has become a key player at El Madrigal.

The 24-year-old hasn’t quite developed in the way many expected him to and he has so far made mere 14 La Liga appearances.

Regular exposure to first team football could, however, help Dos Santos get his career back on track and he is certainly hoping for more playing time at El Madrigal.
