According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, sources close to Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha are indicating that they aren’t quite sure whether or not Arsenal are going to be able to afford to sign him from Crystal Palace this summer. The belief is that they offered £40 million for him earlier on this month, which was quickly rejected. Given that Palace are valuing him at around £80 million it seems unlikely that the Gunners would be willing to stump up that kind of cash, especially seeing as they have other departments which need improving. Palace are also not interested in taking players from Arsenal as part of an exchange deal, which could mean that they will be running out of options sooner rather than later.
For now, it still seems like the deal is a realistic possibility, but there are appear to be no set guarantees one way or the other.
