According to a recent report from Daily Mirror, Abdoulaye Doucoure is ‘ready’ to join Everton after being heavily linked with a move to the Merseyside club.
At this moment in time Watford are said to be holding out for a fee of around £25 million, and it’s not yet known whether the Toffees are willing to pay that amount. There have been rumblings that suggested Wolverhampton Wanderers could enter themselves into the conversation, but Everton are still viewed as the favourites to get a deal over the finish line.
Doucoure is largely considered to be one of the most underrated midfielders from last season’s Premier League campaign, and now, a handful of clubs are willing to give the 27-year-old another chance in the big time.
Watford, on the other hand, are already preparing for life in the Championship once again after suffering relegation – just over one year after reaching the FA Cup final.
