Julian Draxler has accepted an offer to sign a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain, set to keep him at the club until the summer of 2024, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The attacking midfielder, who joined the Ligue 1 side in 2017 from Wolfsburg for a reported fee of €36 million, has so far made 32 appearances in all competitions this term, scoring four goals and making seven assists. Most of his involvements in the matches of the French top flight have come off the bench, but head coach Mauricio Pochettino regards him as an important part of the future of the team.
Draxler’s current deal expires at the end of the season, and he has been linked with other clubs, most notably Bayern Munich and Juventus, but it seems he’ll be at the Parc des Princes for a good while longer.
Meanwhile, PSG have confirmed that Neymar has signed a new four-year contract, and they’re working to get Kylian Mbappe to recommit as well. Right-back Alessandro Florenzi, however, will return to AS Roma when his loan deal expires in June.
