Germany international Julian Draxler wants to leave Wolfsburg after just one season at the Bundesliga club.
Draxler, 22, joined Wolfsburg from Schalke in August last year, but has asked to leave with Arsenal reportedly among the clubs interested.
The 24-time Germany international said he had told coach Dieter Hecking of his desire to leave weeks ago.
“For me, I have expressed myself clearly after the Euros to Dieter Hecking that I want to leave Wolfsburg,” Draxler told Bild.
“The coach has more than three weeks’ notice.”
Draxler, who starred at boyhood club Schalke before his move, is contracted until mid-2020.
