Chelsea star Didier Drogba was mobbed by hundreds of fans as he carried the Olympic torch through the English town of Swindon on Wednesday.
The striker announced on Tuesday he was leaving the English Premier League giants, with Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua his most likely destination.
Drogba waved at supporters – many of whom were wearing Chelsea shirts – as he ran through the town centre with the flame.
The striker scored the winning penalty on Saturday as Chelsea beat Bayern Munich in the final of the Champions League.
On day five of the relay, the flame ended in the hands of the Queen’s granddaughter Zara Phillips, who paraded it around Cheltenham racecourse while riding Toytown – the horse on which she won European and world showjumping crowns.
The 70-day torch relay ends at the Olympic Stadium on July 27, in time for the opening ceremony.
