(GSM) – Didier Drogba and Samuel Eto’o have made it to the African Footballer of the Year award shortlist as Emmanuel Adebayor, Yaya Toure and Michael Essien miss out.
Chelsea pair of Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou, along with Sunderland’s Ballon d’Or nominee Asamoah Gyan and Internazionale’s Samuel Eto’o, who won the Treble with the Nerazzurri last season, make the ten-man list.
Gyan is one of three Ghanaians who impressed at the World Cup, alongside ex-Portsmouth midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng and Olympique Marseille’s Andre Ayew.
