Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has refuted suggestions he wants to leave Stamford Bridge after an indifferent season in front of goal.

Drogba’s season with the reigning English Premier League champions was interrupted when he contracted malaria in November, and the Ivorian has netted just 10 times this campaign.

With Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti opting to bolster his attacking stocks with the 50 million-pound signing of former Liverpool marksman Fernando Torres in January, there had been murmurings Drogba was on his way out of the club – with reports Marseille and Real Madrid were interested.

But the 32-year-old, who signed from Marseille for 24 million pounds in 2004, said he is happy to see out his career at Chelsea.

“I have everything I could dream of at Chelsea,” Drogba told French TV channel Orange Sport.

“I am at a great club, with amazing team-mates, with a perfect living environment for my family.”

“Some years ago I could have said, ‘I dream to play at AC Milan, Real, or Manchester United’.”

“But nowadays I don’t feel such desire anymore. I am at one of the best clubs in the world. Those desires have been gone for a while.”
