Chelsea starlet Oriol Romeu believes Didier Drogba has the qualities to adapt to any team.
The Ivory Coast international recently announced that he will be leaving Chelsea this summer when his contract expires in June, and is being heavily linked with a move to Shanghai Shenhua, as well as a number of European top clubs.
Although Drogba’s next destination is still unknown, Romeu believes the 34-year-old striker will benefit whichever team he joins.
“Drogba is a very good player. He has immense quality,” Romeu told Esports Cope.
“He could adapt to any team. It’s a real shame that he’s leaving Chelsea, because he added a lot to the team.”
The former Barcelona man then went on to discuss the appointment of Tito Vilanova as new head coach at the Blaugrana, and stated that the current assistant has what it takes to succeed in his new position.
“Barcelona are keen to continue the same path they have been following. Tito has an excellent relationship with the players, and he will be well-prepared for the position of head coach,” he said.
The 20-year-old midfielder worked with Vilanova at Barcelona before leaving the Catalans for Chelsea in the summer of 2011.
