Dudek urges Szczesny to move on

Former Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek has urged Wojciech Szczesny to call time on his Arsenal career, according to the Mail Online.

Dudek, who spent four years in the Premier League with the Reds, is sure that his fellow countryman’s days are numbered under Arsene Wenger and has suggested it may be in his best interests to seek a new challenge.

Szczesny has not played in the league since New Year’s Day, having lost his place to Colombia international David Ospinia who signed for the club in the summer and has impressed since being called upon.

Since breaking into the first team, Szczesny has racked up one hundred and seventy-eight appearances in all competitions for the Gunners, while he made his professional debut for Brentford, where he spent the majority of the 2009/10 campaign.

He was part of the Arsenal squad that won last season’s FA Cup while internationally, he has been capped twenty-two times for Poland.
