Well-known football journalist Duncan Castles has claimed that Leicester City think that Demarai Gray will join Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Castles has said that there is interest from Tottenham in the 24-year-old winger, but he has added that clubs from abroad are also looking at the former England Under-21 international.
The journalist said on the Transfer Window Podcast: “I’m told that at Leciester they believe that he will be moving to Tottenham Hotspur.
“My understanding is that there is an interest from Tottenham, but that is not a guaranteed deal, he has interest from other Premier League clubs, there is also significant interest from overseas.
“A decision will be made as to where the best opportunity to develop his career is going forward once he’s in a position to properly talk to the clubs.”
Gray has been on the books of Leicester since 2016 when he joined from Birmingham City, but the winger has failed to establish himself as a key figure in the team. According to WhoScored, the 24-year-old made three starts and 18 substitute appearances in the Premier League last season, and he has yet to feature in the league for the Foxes this campaign.
