Blackburn midfielder David Dunn is desperate to avoid relegation after a short stint on the sidelines.
The experienced 31-year-old has missed the past three matches with a groin problem and his absence has coincided with a poor run by Blackburn, with Steve Kean’s side only picking up one point from a possible nine.Despite sitting 13th on the Premier League table, the Rovers are only one point above the relegation zone and Dunn, who was relegated with Blackburn in 1999, will do everything he can to ensure it does not happen again.?I?ve been there before, I?ve been relegated before and it?s certainly not a good feeling,? Dunn said.?That?s one that I don?t want to happen again.”Dunn has been frustrated at not being able to play, but is hopeful of a return at the Emirates Stadium on April 2 in Blackburn’s next league match.?It?s always difficult sat on the side watching when you can?t really do anything about it but I?ll be fit soon, and I?m really looking forward to trying to put some good form together and helping us get out of this mess,” Dunn said.?It?s coming on well and I?m back running now, so hopefully I?ll be okay for the Arsenal game.?Dunn, who has spent two lengthy spells at Ewood Park in his career, believes the Rovers have the talent to avoid the drop and says the club’s home form is crucial.?I just think that it?s in our own hands. If we win our home games I think we?ll be fine.”?Not that we?re overlooking Arsenal, but we?ve got two home games against Birmingham and Bolton and they seem to be the ones that we really need to be on song with.”?We had a great fight-back against Blackpool and hopefully that could be the turning point. It?s a really competitive league now and every year it is getting more and more competitive.”
