Dunne urges Villa to go for Keane

(GSM) – Aston Villa defender Richard Dunne has urged his club to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Robbie Keane.

Dunne believes his teammate at the Republic of Ireland would be the ideal player to bolster Villa’s front line.

Dunne is aware of the transfer speculation swirling around Keane and would have no hesitation in recommending the striker to Villa boss Martin O’Neill.

He said: “The player that we need is probably someone who can play in the hole and link the midfield with the forward line, so if Robbie comes to us, it would be great for us.”
