(GSM) – Aston Villa’s Richard Dunne has warned teammate and Manchester City target James Milner that he would have to accept a squad role at City, should he move to Eastlands.
Milner looks set for a move to Eastlands after months of stories linking the winger to the Manchester club.
Aston Villa manager Martin O’Neill admitted that he would sell Milner for the right price, which has been reported to be £30million.
And while the England international is keen on the move, his teammate, Dunne, a former City player, has urged the 24-year-old to weigh up his options carefully before making a decision.
“Obviously we’ll miss James because he’s been brilliant, but we have to move on and the manager will build again,” Dunne told Sky Sports News.
“James will know that because he’s joining a big club, a club that wants to win the league, that he’ll be part of a squad.
“At Aston Villa he will play every week and at Manchester City he may not, but it’s an opportunity he probably thinks to go and win the league.”
