(GSM) – Manchester United have Wes Brown and Rio Ferdinand back available for the Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
Sir Alex Ferguson had hoped to also include Owen Hargreaves in his match day squad to face Spurs, but the midfielder has missed the last two days’ training with a calf injury.
The United boss says his men are ready for the challenge of the season’s climax after last weekend’s late derby win at Eastlands hauled the Reds back into the title hunt.
“There’s been a lift around the club this week, no doubt,” Fergie told reporters on Friday.
“There’s always been a sense of atmosphere around the place, but in training this week it’s been noticeable, the lift. Training has been very competitive.
“We just need to do our job and let Chelsea deal with their situation. We know we have to win, that’s the important thing,” United boss explained.
But it won’t be easy, he insists. Harry Redknapp’s side, who did United a huge favour by defeating Arsenal and Chelsea in less than a week, are a major threat to the Reds’ title hopes.
“This is the best Tottenham side of my time here,” Sir Alex warns his team mates.
