Udinese full-back Dusan Basta has revealed that he could leave the club in the January transfer window.
The experienced defender has been linked with Arsenal, Inter Milan and Roma in the past, but he never suggested that he was looking to leave the Zebrette.
However, the 29-year-old seems to have changed his mind as he looks prepared to quit Udinese in the January window.
“I don’t want to talk names, but if an offer from a big club arrives, I am ready to leave as early as January,” Basta told Serbian TV station RTS.
Dusan Basta has spent last five and a half years at Friuli, having joined the club from Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade, although he did spend the first season in Italy on loan at Lecce.
After the start of his career at Udinese was plagued by injuries, the Serbia international managed to nail down a regular starting berth and in turn developed into one of league’s top full-backs.
He has also kick-started his international career and largely impressed in 7 appearances for the national team in 2013.
