Fortuna Dusseldorf have announced on their official website the signing of defender Cha Du-Ri from Celtic.
The famous German club beat Hertha in the play-offs to return to the top flight after 15 years and the club officials wasted no time in trying to reinforce the squad for the upcoming season.
The Fortunen have completed the signing of full-back Cha Du-Ri on a free transfer from Glasgow Celtic.
The interesting thing is that the South Korea international was born in Frankfurt, Germany, where his father was playing for Eintracht.
Cha Du-Ri has already shown his potential in his previous years spent in the Bundesliga,” said Fortuna board member Wolf Werner.
“With him, we now have an experienced, versatile and international class player for our right flank.”
The 31-year-old already has a wealth of Bundesliga experienced, having amassed a total of 115 Bundesliga appearances while playing for Arminia Bielefeld, Eintracht Frankfurt, Mainz and Freiburg.
Cha Du-Ri, who has 64 South Korea caps to his name, has spent last two years at Parkhead, featuring in 31 Scottish Premier League games and scoring two goals in the process.
