Edin Dzeko could be on the verge of a move to Serie A side AC Milan, that’s according to ESPN.
Dzeko has been linked with a number of clubs in the transfer window and after Roberto Mancini saying it is ‘pretty unlikely’ that he will stay at the Ethiad Stadium, Milan could now really up their interest in the striker.
The Bosnian international has had a mixed year at the Citizens and may be one of the players allowed to leave as they look to ad some new faces to the squad.
The Italian giants are of course on the lookout for a new front man after Zlatan Ibrahimovic left for PSG this summer.
Dzeko has himself hinted at a move to Milan: “I always follow the Italian league and one day I’d like to play in it. I also know that Milan has sold two of its best players.” He said.
There is not too much longer left in this transfer window and if City may want this deal to go through quickly.
That said though, the finical side of things could be where the move hits a stumbling block. Dzeko arrived last year for £27 million so will not be allowed to leave on the cheap.
Milan do have money to spend though after the departure of Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva.
