According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Italian side Roma are preparing to let Edin Dzeko leave the club on a free transfer during the summer transfer window. The former Manchester City star is set to be out of a contract in 2020, but Roma are okay with the prospect of him leaving for absolutely nothing. The interested clubs include Inter Milan, Everton and West Ham United, although even more sides from around Europe will likely be sniffing around if this situation is taken to the next level.
Dzeko is widely considered to be one of the best ‘big man’ strikers of the last few years, with his goals for the aforementioned City being viewed as one of the primary reasons for their success.
Roma are said to be more than willing to sell their top stars in favour of re-building for the future, but there’s no denying the fact that it’s a risky strategy.
