Sky Sports understands that Edin Dzeko would be open to a return to the Premier League.
The thirty-two-year-old spent four-and-a-half years playing in England’s top flight for Manchester City during which time he played one hundred and eighty-nine times in all competitions, scoring seventy-two goals.
He won two Premier League titles with the Citizens as well as lifting both the EFL and FA Cup with one of his most vital goals often overlooked.
He netted the equaliser against Queens Park Rangers on the final day of the 2011-12 season, moments before Sergio Aguero’s infamous winner clinched a first league championship in forty-four years.
Since leaving the Etihad Stadim, Dzeko has racked up one hundred and forty-eight appearances for Roma, scoring seventy-eight goals while last season he was named in UEFA’s Champions League Team of the Season.
Internationally, he won his ninety-seventh cap for Bosnia and Herzegovina against Northern Ireland on Monday evening.
