According to a recent report from Corriere dello Sport, Roma forward Edin Dzeko is preparing to leave the Italian club at the end of the current Serie A season.
The 34-year-old veteran has been with the club since back in 2015, and in that time he has become quite the fan favourite – in addition to becoming the captain.
The Bosnian is one of the most unique strikers of his generation, but now, it appears as if both parties could be interested in moving on to something new.
It’s been a long journey for Roma to try and get back to the top of Italian football, and after years of trying, they’re still way off the pace – even with the occasional long run in the UEFA Champions League.
The summer transfer window is going to mark a big turning point for a lot of clubs, and it does feel as if Roma will be one of them.
