Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko has added fuel to speculations linking him with the summer exit from the Etihad.
The Bosnian striker has been unable to earn a regular starting berth in Roberto Mancini’s squad despite impressing every time he was called upon.
He has, therefore, set his sights on leaving the club at the end of the current campaign, with some of Europe’s top clubs lining up for his services.
Dzeko, 26, admits that he is eager to return to German Bundesliga, but doesn’t know whether that will happen in the summer.
“I love the Bundesliga and I will return to the Bundesliga. The only thing I don’t know is when,” the Bosnian said to Daily Mirror.
This will come as great news to Borussia Dortmund chiefs, who are hoping to sign Dzeko as a replacement for star striker Robert Lewandowski.
The Bosnian international has been in fine form, scoring 12 Premier League goals in less than 1200 minutes on the pitch.
Dzeko is City’s top goalscorer in the league despite starting just 11 Premiership games this season.
