Earnshaw linked with Blackpool switch

Championship strugglers Blackpool are eyeing a move for Wales international striker Robert Earnshaw, according to Sky Sports.

The former Nottingham Forest and Cardiff City striker has been a free agent since deciding against extending his stay with MLS side Toronto FC in January, and has attracted the interest of a number of clubs.

Blackpool manager Barry Ferguson is keen to add more firepower to his side, who have won just one of their last twenty Championship matches.

With 31 goals, only Charlton Athletic have scored fewer goals than the Seasiders, though the Addicks have played three games fewer, while their top scorer Ricardo Fuller has just five to his name.

Their defeat to league leaders Leicester City last time out left them six points above the relegation zone with just ten games remaining, starting with Saturday afternoon’s visit of Huddersfield Town, where they can be backed at 17/10 for the win.
