(GSM) – Anderlecht confirmed their Belgian title ambitions with a 0-3 win at Lokeren on Saturday, while Zulte-Waregem earned a convincing 4-0 victory over Cercle Brugge.
The match at Lokeren had been under way for 32 minutes when Sacha Kljestan put the Belgian champions in the lead, and Kanu added a second eight minutes after the interval.
Lokeren lacked the ability to threaten Anderlecht’s lead and instead, the Brussels side made it 0-3 in the 73rd minute as Mbark Boussoufa converted a penalty.
Zulte jumped to seventh position with their first victory of the season, beating Cercle Brugge 4-0. Mahamadou Habibou scored in the first half, and Karel D’Haene, Rene Sterckx and Stijn Meert found the target in the second.
