Looking to pick up their second win in this years UEFA Nations League, Roberto Martinez’s Belgium side will welcome Switzerland to the Stade Roi Baudouin on Friday night.
Starting with the hosts, after securing a Bronze medal finish in Russia this summer, Belgium have continued their impressive form of late. Picking up three wins on the bounce, along with scoring nine times, they are yet to concede a goal since returning from the World Cup. One man to watch for the Red Devils will be captain and talisman Eden Hazard. The Chelsea man already has six Premier League goals to his name and along with sitting clear at the top of England’s goalscoring charts, he now has three in his last three for Martinez’s side.
As for the visitors, while Switzerland may have made it to the knockout stages of this years World Cup, the Reds flattered to deceive against Sweden in their last 16 defeat. Coming off the back of a 1-0 loss against Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions, it will be their recent defensive issues causing Vladimir Petković the biggest headache. Unable to win any of their last three meetings against Belgium, they have now recorded just one clean sheet in their last six matches in all competitions.
