Premier League giants Arsenal are ready to make a move on long-term target Edinson Cavani, according to Daily Express.

The Gunners did sign Danny Welbeck on transfer deadline day as Olivier Giroud picked up a serious injury, but Arsene Wenger are still on the lookout for a world-class striker.

Paris Saint-Germain star Edinson Cavani is reportedly one of the first names on club’s hit-list and the Gunners have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of the Uruguayan.

Namely, the striker is reportedly unhappy at being played out of position at Parc des Princes and he is looking to leave the club either in January or next summer.

Arsenal are closely monitoring the situation and they could step up their interest in the winter transfer window.
