Italian champions Juventus are stepping up their efforts to sign Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani from Paris Saint-Germain, according to Tuttosport.
The Bianconeri are preparing for life after Alvaro Morata, who is almost certain to return to Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
If that happens, Juventus will make a move on long-term target Edinson Cavani, who himself hopes to leave Parc des Princes for greener pastures.
The Uruguayan is reportedly frustrated at playing second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and chances are he will be moving clubs in the summer.
As things stand now, the Bianconeri lead the chase for his signature, but Premier League holders Chelsea are also believed to be keen.
Edinson Cavani, who scored 49 goals in 94 league outings for Paris Saint-Germain, should be in the starting line-up when PSG host Rennes tomorrow evening, with the Saints 1/3 favourites to emerge victorious.
