Edinson Cavani scores controversial 40-yard screamer in Manchester United draw against Fulham (Video)

In a Premier League game of practically no competitive importance, Manchester United drew 1-1 at Old Trafford against Fulham on Tuesday as a Joe Bryan header cancelled out this fabulous strike by Edinson Cavani.

The 34-year-old’s goal, though superbly taken, caused a lot of controversy. Cavani was offside when the initial pass from David De Gea came, but it was ruled that Bruno Fernandes had flicked it on as Cavani withdrew to avoid being caught out. Fernandes later admitted he didn’t touch the ball, which means the goal should not have stood, but there’s really no disputing its beauty.
