Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani will be offered a chance to move to Chinese Super League, France Football has suggested.
The world’s most populous country has started to attract high-profile footballers from Europe’s top leagues and the Uruguyan could be the next to sign a lucrative deal in China.
Namely, Tianjin Songjang, coached by former World Cup winner Fabio Cannavaro, is ready to offer €50 million for the experienced striker, while giving him a yearly salary of staggering €20 million.
This is likely to be a tempting proposal for the player who will soon turn 30, although given the standard of his performances this season, Cavani could also secure a big club move in Europe.
The Uruguayan has been enjoying a remarkable campaign, bagging 16 goals in 15 league outings, while netting six times in as many Champions League fixtures.
This goes to suggest that he’s got at least few more good years ahead of him, meaning that he should wait some more before moving to an exotic destination.
