The Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani fell out with his Paris Saint-Germain teammate Neymar earlier this season and is heading towards the exit door despite clearing the air with the world’s most expensive footballer.
The spat with Neymar over the penalty kick is believed to have made irreparable damage to team atmosphere the 30-year-old striker has agreed to make way but only is he chooses his next destination himself.
The Spanish media outlet Don Balon is suggesting that Cavani will leave the Paris-based giants ‘sooner or later’ adding that the experienced striker has already set his sights on the potencial new destination. The Uruguay international is said to be keen on joining Pep Guardiola’s side at the Etihad where he believed he will get more chances of playing and scoring than at any other club on his shortlist.
Cavani also has Real Madrid and Manchester United as clubs he would consider, but the Citizens remain firm favourites apparently.
Edinson Cavani has been with PSG since the 2012/2013 season. He made 8 Ligue 1 appearances for PSG this season and scored as many goals during that time.
