Eduardo Da Silva returns to the Croatian national team. The forward has recovered from a serious injury and is fit to represent his country in next month’s World Cup qualifier.
Eduardo broke his leg in February last year, in an Arsenal match against Birmingham City. The striker made his come-back a year later but then suffered another injury that kept him sidelined for three additional weeks.
As result of the leg fracture, the 26-year-old missed most of his country’s World Cup qualifiers as well as last year’s European Championships.
With 14 goals in 24 games for the Croatian national team, Eduardo’s return should be a big boost ahead of the qualifier with Belarus on August 12.
Croatia are currently placed second in this group, but the gaps with Ukraine and Belarus are small. England lead Group 6 by a comfortable margin.
