With the opportunity to jump into the Champions League positions, Eintracht Frankfurt will travel to a very disheartened Mercedes-Benz-Arena on Friday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Stuttgart were within touching distance of securing European football last season, things could not have got off to a worse start for Markus Weinzierl’s side. Sat bottom of the Bundesliga, Die Roten put in arguably their worst performance of the season last weekend when they shipped four away to Hoffenheim. As for the visitors, in contrast to Stuttgart, things could not be going any better for Eintracht Frankfurt. Picking up yet another win in the Europa League thanks to a 2-0 victory over Apollon, Adi Hütter’s side are now enjoying a seven-match winning run and a win on Friday could see them jump as high as third, just a single point behind Bayern Munich. One man to watch for the visitors will be Bundesliga leading goalscorer Luka Jovic. The forward now has nine in all competitions and eight in his last six.
