Eintracht Frankfurt are once again the spotlight. Whilst everyone is talking about Luka Jovic moving to Real Madrid this summer, the German club confirmed permanent signing of Filip Kostic from Hamburg SV. Eintracht have had a two-year loan deal with the Serbia international, exactly the same way they previously had with Jovic, and now they exercised their right to sign him for just 6.5 million euros.
Kostic scored 10 goals and made 12 assists in Bundesliga and Europa League this season and after a remarkable campaign that has seen Eintracht reach Europa League semifinal, Eintracht have realized it is the perfect time to sign him. Kostic penned a deal that will keep him at the club until June 2023.
This is another great deal for Eintracht, who have already made 60 million euros on selling Luka Jovic to Real Madrid, according to Sky in Germany. Eintracht managed to get a lot out of the Serbian duo before they even signed them permanently this spring.
Due to their shrewd 2-year loans with options to buy, Eintracht have spent a total of €13.5m on Jović and Kostić *AFTER* they had 45 goals and 19 assists combined 👏 #SGE
