Spanish media outlet AS is reporting that Barcelona and Real Madrid are locked in the battle for FC Porto full-back Jose Diogo Dalot Teixeira.
The 17-year-old has impressed playing for the youth sides at Estadio do Dragao and he is already being linked with a big club move.
While making three league appearances for Porto II this season, Dalot has performed admirably on international stage, featuring at both the Under-17 European Championship and Under-19 European Championship last summer.
Capable of operating on either side as well as further up the pitch, the youngster has already caught the eye of El Clasico rivals, with Barcelona recently making the first step.
Namely, the Catalans have already had a €10 million proposal rejected for the talented footballer, while his release clause currently stands at €20 million.
With both Barca and Real Madrid hot on Dalot’s trail, this is a story worth keeping an eye on in the coming months.
