Mounir El Hamdaoui has agreed personal terms with Fiorentina, but says Ajax are delaying the transfer by changing their demands.
Eredivisie champions Ajax announced Sunday they were confident of agreeing terms with Fiorentina, while adding their concern that El Hamdaoui’s financial demands could prove to be a problem.
But the Morocco international claims it is the club who are holding up the deal.
“Ajax released a statement saying that it’s now up to me to agree terms with Fiorentina, but I have already reached an agreement,” El Hamdaoui said to NUsport.
“Ajax are the ones who have changed their demands. They’re not telling the truth.”
The 27-year-old forward joined Ajax from AZ in July 2010 and netted 13 goals in 26 Eredivisie appearances in his first season at the Amsterdam ArenA.
However, he has not played since April 24 2011 after falling out with head coach Frank de Boer.
