Radio Marca understands that Malaga are considering a move for Fiorentina forward Mounir El Hamdaoui.
The Moroccan looks set to leave Artemio Franchi in search of first team football and he was recently linked with a return to Dutch Eredivisie, with Feyenoord reportedly keen.
However, Radio Marca has suggested that Malaga, too, have joined the race for the 29-year-old striker.
Los Boquerones are still in the market for a new centre forward and having failed in their attempts to sign Nicklas Bendtner and Marco Borriello, they look set to turn to El Hamdaoui.
The Moroccan, who spent one season at White Hart Lane, arrived at Viola from Ajax last summer, but hasn’t quite managed to prove his worth at Artemio Franchi.
El Hamdaoui featured in a total of 19 Serie A games, scoring 3 goals in the process, but it is important to note he was only handed three league starts by boss Vincenzo Montella.
