Elano keen on Lazio move

Manchester City ace Elano has admitted that he would be keen on a move to Italian giants Lazio in the January transfer window.

The 27-year-old joined City from Shakhtar Donetsk for £8million last summer, but has had few chances to make an impact under Mark Hughes.

Elano said: “I would not have any problem playing in Italy. And Lazio are a very good team. I cannot say more, I have to speak to Manchester City. I will do it soon, then decide what to do.

“I have heard it said that Lazio would be interested. I am pleased that such a big club is tracking me.”

City boss Hughes has targeted several midfielders including Scott Parker in January.
