Elche to loan Chelsea’s Pasalic

Chelsea are set to loan out midfielder Mario Pasalic to Spanish side Elche, according to Talksport.

The Croatia U21 international was only signed by the Premier League title favourites two weeks ago but manager Jose Mourinho is keen for him to gain further first team experience elsewhere before he integrates him into the first team.

The 19 year old made thirty-two league appearances for Hadjuk Split last season, scoring eleven goals while he was also part of the side that won the Croatian U19 championships in 2012.
He was also named on Niko Kovac’s 30-man list for this summer’s World Cup in Brazil, though he was not included in the final 23-man party.

Elche finished in sixteenth place in La Liga last season, one point above the relegation zone after taking five points from their final four games of the campaign.

They face Real Betis in a friendly tomorrow evening, and can be backed at 6/5 for the win.
