(GSM) – Elfsborg and Malmö FF did not do themselves any favors in Wednesday’s Allsvenskan action, holding each other to a 2-2 draw.

Fourth-placed Elfsborg and second-placed Malmö both needed the points to keep the pressure on their respective rivals and the visiting side initially seemed on their way to an easy win.

Jimmy Durmaz put Malmö ahead on 26 minutes and Wilton Figueiredo doubled the advantage nine minutes later.

But just another minute had passed when Denni Avdic pulled one back and the 21-year-old striker went on to net the equaliser at four minutes from the end.

Helsingborg can extend their lead on Thursday but do face a tough home game with third-placed Örebro.
