Dutch international Eljero Elia, who impressed at the World Cup and has been courted by several European clubs, will remain at Hamburg for this season, the German team’s coach said Friday.
“Elia is staying with us, I won’t let him go,” said Armin Veh, adding that the 23-year-old had told him he wanted to stay at Hamburg.
Elia, who has won 15 Netherlands caps, scored five goals in his 24 Bundesliga appearances with Hamburg last season.
